Tor Browser Setup

Download Tor Browser exclusively from torproject.org. Verify the digital signature before installation. Set the security level to Safest in the Security Settings. This configuration disables JavaScript, WebGL and other features that can be exploited for browser fingerprinting or code execution. Nexus Market mirrors are fully functional in Safest mode.

PGP Two-Factor Authentication

Enable PGP 2FA immediately after creating your Nexus Market account. Generate a PGP key pair using GPG, upload your public key to your account settings, and activate two-factor authentication. Each Nexus Market login will then require decrypting a unique challenge with your private key. Store your private key and passphrase offline — losing the private key means losing 2FA access.

Monero Privacy

Monero is the recommended payment currency on Nexus Market because its privacy properties are enforced at the protocol level. Ring signatures obscure the sender identity. Stealth addresses generate a unique one-time receiving address for every transaction. RingCT hides transaction amounts from external observers. These properties make Nexus Market transactions conducted in Monero fundamentally untraceable.
